Ross Brown,

From the age of 13 Ross knew he wanted to be a Photographer . He has now been an Advertising Photographer for 14 years, and still loves it!

Born in New Zealand, Ross has travelled extensively, throughout India, Africa and Europe. He currently lives in Wellington with his wife (also a Photographer) and two beautiful daughters Isabella and Bijou.

Ross works within a wide range of styles and techniques covering subject matter as diverse as Landscape, People, Cars, and Still life for Agencies in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Ross believes that Advertising Photography can be an Art form in it's own right, as is evident in his work - one of Ross' images is, in fact, in the Musee du Quai Branly in Paris.

His work has a very distinctive look and strong emotive quality which can be largely attributed to his mastery of light and form combined with a sensitivity to, and perceptiveness of, his subject matter.

He also possesses a high degree of technical ability and is particularly skilled at producing multiple composite images. Ross believes every job should be finely crafted, and likes to have a hand in the retouching of his work, following a job through to completion. Another of his great virtues is his ability to stay calm under pressure; something he is well known for.

Ross has won many prestigious awards including the highest accolade in Advertising Photography, The Brian Brake Memorial Award, for photographic excellence 2003, 2004.
Many of his campaigns have gone on to win International awards such as Cannes.

He has been rated one of the top 200 Advertising Photographers worldwide by Lurzers Archive, having also been published in Lurzers Archive Photography Annuals.

The things Ross loves most are Photography, Art, Architecture, Travel, Snowboarding, Fly fishing, New Zealand and his Family.
