Michael Hall,

Michael was raised in the Far North of New Zealand spending much of his early years swinging off ropes into rivers & building camp fires with his brothers & neibourhood friends. During his late teens & early 20's he was sailing the worlds oceans & getting lost & finding himself throughout some pretty remote & not so remote parts of Eurasia & North America. It was here he discovered a love for capturing images on film.

Recent recipient of the 2006 Photographer Of The Year by The Federation of European Photographers Michael has been in the industry now for over 15 years.

He has worked professionally throughout Asia, Australia, New Zealand & Europe.
Coming from a background of travel & editorial photography all of his work features a strong element of location & beautiful qualities of light & craft.
Some recent client commissions include Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand, Shangri La, Canon, Nokia, Philips, Stubbies, Singapore Tourism and New Zealand Tourism.
As a balance to his commercial work Michael invests much time & energy into personal projects. One such project is an ongoing series of landscapes portraying mans influence upon it. 
His work features in the ACMP Collections of the previous 3 years. He holds a triple gold master of photography with the NZIPP and judges regularly at the Australian & the New Zealand Photography Awards. In 2004 he was awarded the Canon New Zealand Architectural Photographer of the year.
