Aaron McLean,

Aaron has worked in and managed restaurants in various parts of the world for 10 years, so it is not surprising that his lens is frequently aimed at a plate. He does however equally enjoy photographing people and places.

Born in Queenstown (and a member of the New Zealand ski team for 5 years) it wasn’t until he moved to Auckland in 2001 that Aaron discovered his Grandfather and Great Grandfather had both been professional photographers.

Aaron’s images grace the pages of all New Zealand’s leading Food & Lifestyle magazines. One of Aaron’s travel stories recently won Cuisine magazine both the Home/Food & Supreme awards for use of photography in the 2008 MPA awards.

2008 sees the release of Aarons 8th book with 4 others in production for release next year.

Aaron’s images show food at it’s tantalising best and he has an ability to capture ‘that special moment’ with his images of people and places.
